El Capitano Gatisto 06-02-2005 04:55 PM

O'Brien isn't too bad. Good defender. Not a great footballer or anything, but he's ugly and gets in the way. Newcastle are stupid.

packt up 06-02-2005 05:00 PM

Nah ECG O'brien is really bad nowadays. I always thought he was alright maybe two seasons. This season just gone though he was a complete liability I can remember at least 3 or 4 occasions where his mistakes led to goals. His close control is terrible and too often it let him down and he handed the ball to the opposition on the edge of our box.

Bramble and Boumsong are a good bet for next season. All the better if we can throw Van Buyten in there too.

And yeah he is fucking ugly.

El Capitano Gatisto 06-02-2005 05:21 PM

O'Brien is fine. Boumsong isn't much cop for whatever ridiculous amount Newcastle paid for him. To suggest O'Brien has caused some goals to be given away through mistakes and seconds later type that Bramble would be a good bet is laughable, considering Titus Bramble is the single biggest lump of shambolic positioning sense and concentration lapses ever seen in a big black defender. And that's saying something.

Van Buyten is average. Newcastle will pay over the odds for him, and will have gotten rid of 2 of their better professionials in O'Brien and Hughes, and have another mercenary in the side. Boumsong and Van Buyten are a couple of mercenaries, and all through the rest of the side are a pile of wankers who will never achieve anything in football because they are too thick and too lazy.

Souness needs to address that, instead of selling off good, solid players and replacing them with over-priced foreigners who'll move on when a tasty signing-on fee is waved in front of them.

<font face=verdana size=3 color="#ff6600">would John Terry do that, Dazz?

No he wouldn't and you know it. He'd cry like the little bitch he is and then go and get pissed at an airport with Jody Morris.

Y2Ant 06-02-2005 06:57 PM

Bramble had started to play alright like a few weeks before he got injured, Boumsong looked really dodgy at first but toward the end of the season played well, especially in the FA Cup semifinal against united, O'Brien has just been complete shit this season, every time I see him he always fucks something up.

Theres a few City fans at work that all say how they wished they had kept Van Buyten since he went there on loan, so hopefully he will be decent, with Bramble and Boumsong aswell as him, we should be ok in central defence. Babayaro needs to stay healthy all season and we will be sorted at left back, Carr i'm starting to have doubts about though.

The only thing we need IMO is a striker or two, with kluivert (and soon Bellamy) gone, Ameobi doesn't deserve a place in the starting lineup.

Butt, Bowyer and (unless he gets his act together and stays healthy all season) Dyer all need to go, getting rid of Robert was a step in the right direction. N'Zogbia, Milner and Ambrose are all class and all deserve a run in the first team, Faye is a decent holding player and Jenas is solid too.

If we bring in a couple of decent players, we should do pretty well, on paper. Top 10 finish at the very least, anything less isn't good enough

El Capitano Gatisto 06-02-2005 07:13 PM

Newcastle have a crap side, to be honest. I really envisaged them struggling last season, and I don't that will change much this time around. Terrible squad, awful manager = bad news.

I was looking at the Newcastle team on Pro Evo earlier (not as a guide but just looking at the names) and it is utter shite. Without serious improvements they wont finish in the top half again for a long time

packt up 06-02-2005 07:38 PM

Y2ant pretty much summed up most of what I feel. Bramble is starting to get his act together and Im not denying he can be shocking at time ECG but before his injury he was putting in some top quality performances. Certainly better anything that "England International" Luke Young was pulling out of his ass. Boumsong too looked shady but has slowly improved and if they both played together their performances improved no end. If they both can stay fit I feel fairly confident.

I echo the relative confidence in Babayaro and doubts over Carr. Seriously think Taylor might be a better bet at right back he gets stuck in and has no fear of anyone. Carr has more and more looked poor positionally and terrible with distribution.

A striker is needed too as Y2ant mentioned (yeah you're the man) although I was a Robert fan and still am :p.

And I have confidence that Newcastle as terrible as we are, and we are bad, can get no worse. Last season was a huge underperformance - no way are we the 14th best team in the Premiership. I think Souness is an idiot most of the time and hopefully we can get someone better in but I doubt even Souness could take us any lower than 14th. *fingers crossed*

I heard good things about Van Buyten, he looked quality at Man City and has just been voted into the Bundesliga team of the season so he cant be all bad.

Cactus Sid 06-02-2005 08:13 PM

Oh yeah

Just saw this on the Liverpool website

http://www.liverpoolfc.tv/news/drill...50602-1427.htm

Nice to see they're not bitter, I would've happily supported Chelsea in the final....

packt up 06-03-2005 06:25 AM

LOL good times.

If Liverpool win, I'm going to avoid every newspaper and tv for the next 3 months.

Bye Bye Kluivert  don't let your shit footballing skills hit you on the way out. Off to Valencia apparently.

packt up 06-03-2005 08:27 AM

Should probably qualify that to "lazy arse" rather than "shit footballing skills" - I'm sure he hasnt turned into a terrible player in one season he was just fucking lazy and never did anything.

Do you not remember that insane block that Huth did near the end of the season, I cannot remember for the life of me who it was against, but it was at our gaff infront of the Shed end, and someone launched a volley and Huth jumped into the way of it and it hit him sqaure in the face, he was on the floor for literally two seconds before getting up and getting on with it. I love Huth, he has just snubbed Shalke, he snubbed Munich in January too, he is top, plus him driving that vehicle round Stamford Bridge after we won the league was great. I think I am gunna get 'HUUUUUTH 29' on the back of my Chelsea shirt next year. God Bless Robert Huth, the big angry nazi.

No if's, no but's
He'll trample on your nuts
Robert Huth, Robert Huth.

When Terry blocks a ball it's normally with his arm, he is gunna get found out soon, it always looks like it's his chest/stomach but it rarely is.

Dazz 06-03-2005 11:37 AM

Oh and given how slow and dopey De Zeeuw is, I garuntee that O'Brien gives away at least four penalties next season, probably more. He only doesn't give away as many at Newcastle because he normally has someone with at least a little pace alonside him, De Zeuuw is such a slow little faggot you can just see him getting skinned and O'Brien comes in with a shit late challenge and gives away a penalty.

We are going to piss all over Portsmouth's defence next season, and they are going down, garunteed.

Rob Ban Fan 06-03-2005 01:17 PM

<font face=verdana size=3 color="#ff6600">I remember Huth copping one right in the bollocks, it hit his right one, then bounced and hit his left one too, so I will give credit where its due.

If we sign O'Brien he will probably replace ZOOOOOOO over the course of the season and we'll end up with O'Brien and Stefanovic. Im sure I don't need to tell you that Stefanovic absolutly cleared up when it came to the Portsmouth Player of the Season votes. Dejan will keep O'Brien in line.

Needless to say, Stefanovic would have HUUUUUUTH easily, he is Serbian.</font>

Dazz 06-03-2005 01:19 PM

Huth is an angry Nazi, I garuntee Huth would destroy any of your faggoty little players.

Dazz 06-03-2005 03:35 PM

I hate you RBF

Fucking hell Chelsea have approached Spurs Director of Football Arnesen without Spurs permission and now he wants to leave and so has been suspended by Spurs.

I admire Chelsea for all the brilliant things they can do on the pitch but off it they are becoming too arrogant for my liking and running over the rules like they don't apply to them. I'm not even refering to Mourinho and the stuff he says here because he is a brilliant man who is supremely confident in his team. But breaking the rules over the approach of other people under contract to other teams is wrong and I think its time to bring out the points penalising for Chelsea.

Cactus Sid 06-04-2005 01:20 PM

I'm just wondering what will happen if (and that is a huge if) this turns out to be true

I'm not exactly sure on what the rules are for positions in a club which are not specificly directly linked to the football on the pitch (directors etc... rather than coaches, managers and players) but if it turns out to be a breach AGAIN, surely the F.A should clamp down more than just the 3 point ban they've already stated. So close together, and continued flouting of the rules has surely gotta lead to stiffer penalties.

Cactus Sid 06-04-2005 01:20 PM

Also, Scotland 2 Moldova 0 :D

packt up 06-04-2005 02:34 PM

I hate to judge them already with so few facts surfacing but the fact that Arnesen has already stated that he wants to leave for Chelsea indicates to me that some sort of tapping up has already taken place.

Cactus Sid 06-04-2005 02:53 PM

Yeah thats what it seems like

Ok, players might say "I want to sign for Real Madrid" or whatever, because thats a dream, but that doesn't seem to be the case here, which would indicate clearly that Chelsea have approached him illegally

packt up 06-04-2005 03:10 PM

Yeah plus the fact that Tottenham have suspended Arnesen shows that they don't think everything is above board. Otherwise surely they would have just let him get one with his job? I dunno it just seems to coincedental (again).

Cactus Sid 06-04-2005 05:13 PM

I'm beginning to believe that teams who cheat (nothing to do with Chelsea) should be banned from football.

I.E Israel

packt up 06-04-2005 05:16 PM

What did Israel do exactly?

Cactus Sid 06-04-2005 05:20 PM

You not watching the game?

Fucking assholes are falling over every chance they get, staying down for ages

The keeper got Andy O'Brien sent off for a "headbutt" then stayed down for an hour.

Thank god they've added 7 minutes for all the cheating

Cactus Sid 06-04-2005 05:23 PM

Actually, its not just the Jews cheating, the referee has been utter shite

That said he just booked the keeper...... in the 94th minute, about 20 minutes too late.

Dazz 06-04-2005 06:31 PM

LOL ANDY O'BRIEN IS SHIT, HAVE IT RBF.

LK 06-04-2005 06:54 PM

Well 2-0 Scotland. Dreadful stuff, some players shouldn't be anywhere near the team but today was about the result so I suppose that there is something to build on.

Ogen 06-04-2005 07:46 PM

Cheating bunch of tosser cunts

Thats all I'll say

Disgusted

packt up 06-04-2005 09:15 PM

Sounds like they were being shits throughout though.

Turkey 0 Greece 0

Fucking intimidating atmosphere for the Greeks but we came to play, Stellios missed a glorious chance for the 0-1, hit the post. However Turkey had a few chances of their own, Greece allowed them far too much space on the right and some dangerous crosses almost resulted in goals. Still, considering the enormous task, I'm gladly taking the 1 point and getting the fuck out of there. Ukraine won 2-0 however, they're opening up a bit of a lead. MUST BEAT THEM IN ATHENS ON WEDNESDAY NIGHT!

I wonder if Ashley Cole realises what a complete and utter cock he is

I just find it so funny that he's blaming everybody except himself for what has happened, and keeps coming out with some utter rubbish.

He said that he wanted 60k a week, but Arsenal said they'd give him 55, doubling his wages. If he loved Arsenal so much, why didn't he just say....its 5 grand a week, what does it matter. He also said something about "people don't want me to pull on my beloved Arsenal shirt". Wasn't so beloved when Chelsea were shoving a 100,000 a week under your nose and certainly didn't stop him from meeting them when under contract to Arsenal.

I hope the F.A throw the book at him after his appeal.

toxic rooster 06-06-2005 07:28 AM

I'm sad to say I agree with Cactus Sid. Apparently his agent's a bit of a cock too, but they knew what they were doing meeting Chelsea, and they're trying to blame everyone under the sun bar themselves. Cole would get a lot more sympathy if he put his hand up, said he fucked up and let's get on with it.

It's a shame, why do they give all the talent to the fucking cunts?

toxic rooster 06-06-2005 07:30 AM

When I first heard about it, first thought I had was 'trying to get higher wages from Arsenal'
