Actually if you read all the posts, I never once said I would 'have' him. A few people said he could do me in and all I said was I beg to differ. And I still do. Being that none of you really know my background or what I look like, you don't know if I could or couldn't. So how exactly is that being prattish. Aside from jokingly questioning his sexuality, I said nothing.

Since when were footballers so tough anyway? If it was a Rugby player then different story.

yeah well, my dad could have yours.

toxic rooster 08-08-2004 10:03 AM

On a different note, bloody Australian TV couldn't get the rights to the Com Shield .

Looks like a long night of listening to the bloody BBC world service .

deathtrap 08-08-2004 11:31 AM

Murphy to Spurs?

Rob 08-08-2004 11:41 AM

Looks like it. In the Express, they are saying Ronaldo wants to leave Real Madrid for Man United on a Bosman at the end of the season.

:D

LK 08-08-2004 12:38 PM

That would be pretty decent Rob for the Mancs. Drools at prospect of Van Nistelrooy and Ronaldo.

LK 08-08-2004 12:39 PM

Have my doubts about it though.

Cactus Sid 08-08-2004 02:00 PM

Wow, Arsenal kinda shat all over United

Rob 08-08-2004 02:00 PM

Well he did learn English years ago with the hope of playing in England one day and he said he wanted to play for us after he got a standing ovation at Old Trafford two years ago when he scored a hat trick against us so I think it's a possibility.

The Mackem 08-08-2004 02:02 PM

I think we've managed to go backwards from last season. I didn't see much yesterday to fill me with excitement.

Mr. Monday Morning 08-08-2004 02:25 PM

I seem to remember Ronaldinho saying he wanted to play for Man U as well...

Blech, today was shite. Beaten by a good goal and an atrocious penalty decision. We didn't start playing until the 2nd half though and the defending badly needs sorting out (Jo Lescott  )

If anyone really wants to do me a favour you'll track down Lee Naylor and shoot him

If he couldn't have you that would mean you could have him  And I'd have thought you'd know better than to take a bit of cheap bait like that, but meh.

Fu</>ck it, I'd kill him then :p

The guy is like 3 inches smaller than me and probably a good 2 stone lighter and Sunday league football is 10 times 'harder' than nancy boy Premiership football.

Somebody should fire whoever suggested that you guys should sign Bjorklund. He started as well didn't he? Hopefully Dave Jones or whoever manages Wolves nowadays has more sense in the future.

packt up 08-08-2004 09:24 PM

lol at the thread turning into football wars or some shit.

Our teams full of ex Leeds racist/dirty bastards so we could hold our own.

After that though we have fuck all and would get beaten down :(.

Lee Hughes has been found guilty of causing detah by dangerous driving and has recieved a 6 year prison sentence. Thats West Brom down for sure next year.

LK 08-09-2004 12:14 PM

Disappointed but not too upset about the community shield result. Man U were missing several key players and were clearly thinking of the Champions League game by taking Giggs, Keane and Scholes of quite early.

The Mask 08-09-2004 01:57 PM

the last team to win the charity shielf and the league was us in 96.

The last time (i think) we lost the charity shield and had to play a qualifier for the CL, we ended up winning it.

It'd be nice if that happened again, but i doubt it :'(

Why? He's shit anyway.

Should have got longer.

Mr. Monday Morning 08-09-2004 02:34 PM

Steven Carr is close to signing for Newcastle, apparently.

I don't think he is shit, but he definitley deserved longer. The pictures of the crash show how fast and reckless he must have been, also he was allegedly on the wrong side of the road, not to mention the fact that he was pissed and ran away from he scene of the crime, which made him look like he had something to hide.

If he is out in three years then its a joke.

Dazz 08-09-2004 02:46 PM

Oh yeah hot shit about Kezman's ban being squashed.

Solksjaer is out for PROBABLY the whole season.

The Mask 08-09-2004 02:49 PM

yeah, it's looking like this might be solskjaer done for good :'( absolutely gutted

The Mask 08-09-2004 02:53 PM

http://www.boomspeed.com/themask/26.jpg :'(

if he does play again, he's going to get one of the biggest receptions ever at OT, i can guarentee that much.

Well he'll get out in two for good behaviour. He should have got a 10 stretch in my opinion.

I don't care if he never kicks a ball again, he'll always be a legend in my book if just for that night.

The Mask 08-09-2004 03:12 PM

also dazz, you should at least know djemba is a hard bastard now.

Mr. Monday Morning 08-09-2004 06:30 PM

Djemba's a fucking nutcase

Dazz 08-09-2004 07:08 PM

He is no match for Robert Huth.

Ronaldo's been quoted saying how he wants to join Spurs because Frank Arneson helped him loads when he was at PSV.

If that happens I will eat my own face.

Danny Murphy's move fell through.

I hope we go for him if we dont get Carrick. He was one of the players i said id like in that thread a while back.

The Mask 08-10-2004 07:17 AM

am i the only one thinking liverpool should rip madrid's arm off for 10m + morientes/eto'o for owen?

Owen is utter utter toss these days.

Cruiserweight 3:16 08-10-2004 07:34 AM

Commercially, Owen can make more money for Liverpool than Morientes/Eto'o considering how massively popular he is, and Owen is likely to score goals if he gets the right service from the players.

I reckon Morientes would easily fit into British football, but Eto'o would take quite a while considering when you take into fact what players like El Hadji Diouf and Joseph Desire Job have done in England.

LK 08-10-2004 12:17 PM

If this stuff about MAdrid handing Liverpool 10 million plus Morientes is true then Liverpool should bite their f****** hand off. Morientes is a much better player than Owen and I would definetly trade.

LK 08-10-2004 12:18 PM

It will be a real shame if Solskjaer has played his last game. The guy will go down forever as a legend.
