Incredibly nasally on some words, like it suddenly goes up in pitch on certain letters. Though more noticeable with the women for some reason. :shifty:

We talk out of the wrong parts of our mouths. Then we’ve got that annoying cadence that turns everything into a question. But when you’re a semi-trained TV professional, they teach you to change the way to speak and try and temper the weird inflections. So what you get is this annoying TV accent that is like “fake newsreader voice” for maybe a US comparison.

But then you get actors and TV personnel who just aren’t very good, and they can’t help shake the bumpkin. That’s McKay and Macintosh.

A few weeks ago, someone posted a thing about how Bill DeMott wanted Omega to work a body part and not do any wild moves. So, Omega worked the ass.

The reason why I bring this up is because here is a match where Stan Hansen wrestles a Stan Hansen match. He also... works a body part.

Also, it's his 72nd Birthday today.

I initially thought it was going to be some sort of joke of saying Trevor Murdoch looks like John Goodman thanks to the screenshot... with overdubing him with lines from King Ralph or The Big Lebowski or somesuch.

Then, the narration begins, and it really is John Goodman giving a classy narration on a tastefully straightfoward historical wrestling piece.

I remember my parents buying the movie and you also got the match after the movie which was Hogan and Beefcake v Macho Man and Zeus THE HUMAN WRECKING MACHINE!!!!!

It’s been easier than I suspect. I’ve checked the news a couple of times and listened to some Cornette YouTube clips (not his full show, I’m even off criticism of wrestling). I think I might be properly done soon.

Thanks for the memories, wrestling. You got me through some weird times growing up. But it’s time I realized you haven’t been good to me in a long, long time. Fuck off and don’t let the door hit you on the way out.

The WWE surely gets a lot of the blame, but AEW was it for me. I just can’t. The self-indulgent disregard of there being any sort of art to this. The complete waste of potential. I went from being optimistic about wrestling to seeing so clearly that this is not going to be something a reasonable person can enjoy in record time.

So a special big fuck you to AEW for that. And also fuck TPWW for housing some of the most insecure and gormless little marks. I was right when I said WWE sucked way back, and I am right when I say AEW sucks right now.

I’m off to read some books or something.

Watts actually recently said in an interview that the Hardyz worked an indie with him in 99 and got the idea for their gear from him lol

Its a nice setup but think it would look more flashier or smoother if it was done by a smaller guy.

It does create the opportunity for some sweet looking powerbomb counters to be possible though.
