I’ve been listening via YouTube. Ye gods, what have I missed out on?

I don’t really care about the WWE Hall of Fame, but I am intrigued to see what Paul and Stephanie do with it. I can see Triple H being less rigid with a “one posthumous induction” kind of thing. I can see Demolition in, lawsuits aside. I can also see him wanting to put The Midnight Express, which could lead to a great speech from Corny.

Lex Luger, like John Cena, is one of those guys we didn't really appreciate in his prime. His timing was always good, and he had a good look.

It doesn't help that most people remember him now for the promo he cut on "Billy Whathisname" and probably being involved with Elizabeth's death.

Kinda miss Yokozuna. Dude was huge but had "it" and knew how to move and all that.

I always wonder how much "cultural impact" Yokozuna had.... dunno if I am making this up but I remember hearing his name a lot around school or wherever.... mainly as fat jokes, but still...

Yokozuna was a fuckin vibe. Such a shame he couldn’t control his weight because he was an iconic performer with an iconic gimmick. He just got de pushed too quickly to leave the mark he really could have.

That the gimmick was around at the same time of E. Honda in Streetfighter probably added to the mystique.

Visited Yokozuna’s grave a few months ago. As I do.

I hope you brought and ate a lot of food.

But then left some KFC by the gravesite as one would typically leave flowers.

I was visiting Bukowski’s grave minutes earlier so I was feeling a good buzz. Couldn’t afford to soak up the whiskey via a ritualistic feast. Next time though.

There was one point when I was looking for him and I noticed an area that seemed dedicated to Japanese graves and for a split second I thought “Oh, maybe he’s over here.” before instantly turning back and cursing Vince for making me momentarily racist.

I’m a bit younger, so I didn’t hear anything about Yokozuna, but I do distinctly remember people talking about Rikishi before I became a wrestling fan. I remember a neighbourhood kid making fun of me because I didn’t know he was a wrestler who uses his ass to beat people up with.

Samoans who can pass themselves off as sumo wrestlers get over, man.
