American Hustle was the balls, the hair messing scene right at the start and the quick cut to the choke scene in the car followed by his outfit in the street afterwards are probably the 2 funniest scenes I saw last year

CSL 01-06-2014 02:45 PM

9.5

Impeccable 01-07-2014 05:50 PM

Watched The Lone Ranger

6/10

Was okay but far too long really for a Disney film meant for families etc. I really liked Armie Hammer in the title role but thought they tried too hard to push Johnny depp down our throats as tonto.

White Christmas 7/10

Now You See Me 10/10

The Campaign 6/10

The Wolverine 8/10

whiteyford 01-09-2014 07:17 AM

Elysium 8/10 Stevie Wonder could see the ending coming but still enjoyable.

Grown Ups 2 8/10 Stone Cold was great, Aly Michalka was in a bikini

Drinking Buddies - 10/10

I am being a tad liberal but I absolutely loved the movie. Olivia Wilde and Jake Johnson were excellent. I also loved Jake Johnson's character in the "Safety Not Guaranteed" movie. He touches me on an emotional level. For realzies.

CSL 01-10-2014 02:17 PM

watched Drinking Buddies a while back because of the reviews and it had somehow snuck past me. Thought it was pretty meh :-\

The Wolf of Wall Street - 9/10

funniest film I've seen for some time, DiCaprio is ridiculously good in it which isn't really surprising nowadays. "The cerebral palsy stage" scene had me crying.

Corporate CockSnogger 01-10-2014 05:50 PM

Watched "Her" earlier on and loved it. Maybe possibly might be the best film I've seen in a while. Dunno, "Gravity", "The Hunt" and "Prisoners" are all way up there too but that's pretty great company for me to be putting "Her" in with.

CSL 01-11-2014 06:31 PM

Steve Wiebe!

CSL 01-11-2014 06:31 PM

Her - 8.5/10

deducted .5 for trying to ruin my life

Corporate CockSnogger 01-11-2014 06:48 PM

Scarlett Johansson is sexy as fuck in Her even without being on screen.

Corporate CockSnogger 01-11-2014 06:49 PM

Seriously though, King of Kong. This is like 10x more ridiculous than Spinal Tap.

Lock Jaw 01-11-2014 07:42 PM

Only seen a part of it, I thought it WAS a mockumentary?

Possibly the greatest documentary ever

And was also nominated for the first ever TPWW Movie Night

Corporate CockSnogger 01-11-2014 09:37 PM

I don't even know if I really enjoyed it. I guess I did. But every single person in it was too ridiculous.

Corporate CockSnogger 01-12-2014 05:30 PM

Dallas Buyers Club - very good.

GD 01-12-2014 05:57 PM

Fruitvale Station - fail/pass.pass

Corporate CockSnogger 01-14-2014 09:07 PM

Short Term 12 - Brilliant. On a hot run of films right now. 2013 had a lot of greats.

Lock Jaw 01-14-2014 11:23 PM

Her - 9/10

Pretty good. Thought for sure it was gonna end with the OSes killing all humans, though. Maybe saving it for the sequel.

GD 01-15-2014 03:39 AM

American Hustle - 6/10

A little overrated. Great acting by all. Loved Amy Adams' bewbs.

RoXer 01-15-2014 11:54 AM

Don Jon - pass.fail

Lock Jaw 01-15-2014 07:51 PM

It was alright. I wasn't really that interested in it, but watched it because of Amy Adams.

RoXer 01-16-2014 01:13 AM

Fast and Furious 6 - pass.fail

Was going to be fail.pass but the post credits scene alone knocks it up a grade

Movie (and entire franchise) is so ridiculous though. But good ridiculous.
