Oh yeah and I've said it before but Diouf is a cockmaster.

Wengerland 11-29-2004 06:35 AM

With all the pundits saying Toure touched him so that probably took Gerrard down, at the speed he was going.

That said there wasn't as much of a contact as the fall made out.

That's pretty unanimous.

As for the penalty shout, I honestly thought he was going to give it when I first saw it, but like Rooney's I couldn't tell it was a dive first time because of the camera angle.

Doink 11-29-2004 07:42 AM

boro are appealing against french franks red card, after watching the replays i can see why, he went for the ball, his eyes were on the ball at all times and it was malicious at all. fair enough he shouldnt have gone in with 2 feet but i feel a yellow would have been more deserved.

saying that the way he's been playing latly we could do without him in the team, yesterdays red card follows 2 games in a row were he has got scinned and cost us a goal. also i feel sorry for young tony mcmahon, he was having a quality game (again) yesterday but yet again maclaren takes him off and brings on reizeger when we are chasing a game, and yet again within 2 minutes of him coming on we conside a goal. also schartzer got beat at his near post again, when will he learn?

And we're resting our defensive hopes on him to qualify for the next world cup. God help us :(:nono:

Mr. Monday Morning 11-29-2004 08:25 AM

Bring back Bosnich

Dazz 11-29-2004 08:30 AM

You wont get it rescinded, when we played Leicester last season Geremi did a two footed lunge and 100% took the ball, but was sent off as it was a slide challenege, I think we appealed but nothing happened.

Gotta admit, at first I thought it was a pen, the same with Rooney, but he definetly went for it. I dunno if Toure brushed his knee or not, but even so, it was a dive, and it pisses me off when Liverpool players act like cocks on the pitch (see previous comments about Diouf and Liverpool players (led by Kewell) taking balls into the corner).

Dazz 11-29-2004 08:31 AM

Yeah Robben takes the ball into the corner and goes down theatrically, thats my only beef with him. Gerrard looked to be going down before there was even any chance of contact.

well hopefully the match of the day 2 tv evidence last night that showed defoe doing more or less the same thing but his looked worse will help us. Defoe only got a yellow for his and again he clearly won the ball like franck did. and if it doesnt get recinded we allways have  super colin cooper  to fill in for him but knowing mclaren he will put zenden there and put nemeth on the right with parlour moving inside one!

Wengerland 11-29-2004 12:59 PM

I only saw the Queudrue thing today, i don't know why he was going in like that in the first place, it's not as if most players jump on the ball so there was a bit of intent to get Pamarot.

On the diving thing we had Lee Morris doing that on saturday but he got a few groans/jeers for it and was subbed at half time.

Also, Kewell was terrible.

Danny Electric 11-29-2004 01:20 PM

Viera only apologised because he quickly remembered that he was already on a yellow.
He didn't fall, it was a clear dive and everyone in the pub said the same thing. A packed pub with about only 2 Liverpool supporters in there.

diothoir 11-29-2004 02:21 PM

Leeds play Rotherham tonight.

They'll probably go and beat us. :'(

The Mackem 11-29-2004 06:03 PM

Ummm I think they did.

Cruiserweight 3:16 11-29-2004 07:40 PM

Lucky result for Rotheram :shifty:

Wengerland 11-29-2004 07:50 PM

Good to see them get their first win, i'm hoping this ruins Leeds' confidence for saturday ;)

Cruiserweight 3:16 11-29-2004 07:53 PM

^^ I hope it doesn't

Mr. Monday Morning 11-30-2004 03:51 AM

Ahahaha even we beat Rotherham

Dazz 11-30-2004 04:18 AM

I heard it was Rotherams first win of the season.

The Mackem 11-30-2004 05:21 AM

Yeah it was.

PSIcological 11-30-2004 12:37 PM

its a good thing, makes it seem less embarrasing should the now completely ruderless gillingham lose to them

diothoir 11-30-2004 01:59 PM

<font face=verdana size=3 color="#ff6600">oh and apparently Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne were there today, apparently they're Watford fans (i always thought Ozzy was a Villa fan :o) and the Pompey fans wound Sharon up so much she flipped them off

jerichoholic169 12-01-2004 04:31 PM

hahaha one-nil after 20 seconds - and i missed the first 30 seconds of the match as well!! nice to see that the arsenal youngsters go down as easily as their peers.

its good to see that in what is essentially a under 21 game, there are 5/6 english players on the pitch, a world cup winner and then a load of young foreigners - boads well for the future of our country's team!!

Cactus Sid 12-01-2004 04:36 PM

England's under-21 squad is pretty good....

At least its better than Scotland's :(

jerichoholic169 12-01-2004 04:50 PM

van persie is a dirty bastard....this could end ugly...its the U21 battle of old trafford...at least united have good old phil neville..no doubt he'll kick things off with a crazy slide 'tackle'.

Cactus Sid 12-01-2004 06:00 PM

I don't think I've heard a more boring game than Liverpool/Tottenham

Cactus Sid 12-01-2004 06:02 PM

Of course, as I write that, Tottenham score

Gardner should have been sent off earlier apparently

Cactus Sid 12-01-2004 06:20 PM

Pongolle equalised from the spot....penalties

Think we're going out here

Cactus Sid 12-01-2004 06:38 PM
