Genuinely I could see Corbin turning back into his sad, down on his luck character from a couple of years ago as he helplessly shows up on both brands begging to get signed.

It’s my understanding that when one wrestler murders another wrestler in Puerto Rico there are no consequences.

Yeah I’m sort of expecting a return to Bum Ass Corbin. Maybe Judgment Day pick him up when he’s at his lowest.

Mr. Nerfect 05-02-2023 04:20 PM

Corbin comes to the realization that neither show wants him because he is a bad guy. He takes to the streets to fight injustice and earn his way into WWE fans’ hearts.

Mr. Nerfect 05-02-2023 04:20 PM

Someone get the AI to come up with gimmicks for these guys.

XL 05-02-2023 04:35 PM

Yes. Then get Helms and Molly together and they can be a wrestling version of The Avengers. It’s probably about time for WWE to tap into the zeitgeist of 2012.

I thought about that, but you’ve got some NXT talent in there. But in theory I’m cool with that. But just draft them to NXT or whatever. I think Ziggler, Ali, Corbin and Elias are all good NXT adds though. Shelton & Cedric too, but they should just be on SmackDown with Lashley, I think.

Giving NXT draft picks and running it like that would just cause another issue though in that people would notice they always make shitty picks and never take a big star/team.

xrodmuc316 05-03-2023 02:41 AM

One last piece of WWE's nonsensical rules.

Indi Hartwell had to vacate the NXT Women's Championship since she got drafted to Raw.
The NXT Women's Tag Champions get to bring those titles to Smackdown with them.

????

If they're serious about the brand split, they should definitely make the men's and women's tag team titles brand exclusive.

Big Oof Oakerson

XL 05-03-2023 04:18 AM

Big news: the ring announcers have swapped shows.

XL 05-03-2023 04:46 AM

Which could be kinda awkward as the now Raw announcer is engaged to Ricochet who’s ex has just be brought up to Raw.

Not only do I think they want him to get his legs under him with a heel run in NXT, but I think he's someone that should probably get a bigger debut than just being a random draft pick.

No reason they can't have him turn up on Raw as a surprise sometime in the summer or fall whenever they deem him ready to go.

Evil Vito 05-03-2023 11:13 AM

Cora Jade was rumored to be getting drafted but with Bron staying put I'm not surprised she did too. She will probably debut roughly around the same time Bron does to keep them together.

Mr. Nerfect 05-03-2023 12:54 PM

I’m fine with Bron Breakker being in NXT for a little bit more. I think he’s ready enough, but you’ve got to have a plan.

rez 05-03-2023 10:07 PM

Can HHH do a long term story that brings Cody vs Roman 2.0?

Vince wouldn't be able to (short)

Tony couldn't (too long term)

Maybe HHH is juuuuust right.

XL 05-04-2023 05:17 PM

Wait. Which brand drafted Gable Steveson?

Fignuts 05-05-2023 12:15 AM

Kinda want to see Imperium turn face by going after the judgement day.

Like imagine how much you could tease gunther getting his hands on dominic. Milk it enough and that one chop will get an earth shattering pop.

Evil Vito 05-05-2023 10:01 AM

I'm down with that. I feel like Imperium are bound to naturally go face anyway. It's not like they're constantly badmouthing America and getting cheap "foreign" heat, people genuinely like to see Gunther fuck dudes up.

GD 05-05-2023 03:21 PM

Looks like it's going to be an inter-promotional match at Night of Champions

Fignuts 05-05-2023 08:31 PM

Why? It's the Raw belt.

Lock Jaw 05-05-2023 09:07 PM

So Roman Reigns can win it

It's such an odd choice considering they just did the draft. They can't even pretend :smh:

Doesn't seem like they're going for a "hard split" since RAW has both the men's and women's tag team champions.

XL 05-06-2023 09:06 AM

This fucking company

Mr. Nerfect 05-06-2023 04:14 PM

Did they actually say the belt was going to be exclusive to Raw? I didn’t watch. I was under the impression it’s just another belt for when Roman isn’t there.

#1-norm-fan 05-06-2023 04:45 PM

Oh God. It was bad enough when they made another world title right after unifying the two they had. If they just use this as a secondary title being defended on the same shows as Reigns but call it a world title just to force the “world champion” label on guys… Holy shit.

Lock Jaw 05-06-2023 05:25 PM

Really, it just makes it "super obvious" that the RAW guy is gonna win is what it does

It was sort of implicit surely?

“Because when Roman gets drafted, he will take the WWE Undisputed Universal Championship with him and he will stay there. The other brand will determine a new Champion.”

He was drafted to SmackDown hence the new belt is for Raw. Why would I SmackDowm guys be involved?

If that’s not the case the setup is even worse.

Lock Jaw 05-06-2023 05:38 PM

They should just throw it out there and say if the winner is from Smackdown, he will become a RAW exclusive.

I mean, it would still be super obvious that the RAW guy would be winning, but at least it will try to cover it up a little.

Mr. Nerfect 05-06-2023 05:55 PM

The way Triple H talked about the belt initially, he kind of said it could be defended anywhere. I’m just wondering if they actually said the belt’s going to be Raw exclusive or if that was just what fans ran with because it’s how it’s been done in the past? I legit don’t know.

XL 05-06-2023 06:18 PM

The way he described it it was the 24/7 Champiosnhip

XL 05-07-2023 04:59 AM

So on Backlash they definitely stated Raw had the new championship.
