ahahaha poor baby.

Shearer has denied this claim.

Also, Crespo played very well for Chelsea and In My Opinion was our best striker last year, I wish we kept him, but if he doesn't turn up to an important meeting then you've got to respect Jose Mourinho's decision.

Mr. Monday Morning 07-15-2004 02:19 PM

Wolves have completed the signing of 23 year old Nigerian international Seyi 'George' Olfinjana for a fee of £1.7m, possibly rising to £2m in future.

A few weeks ago he nearly signed for Monaco

Rob 07-15-2004 02:26 PM

I don't even think Alan Smith will play up front for some reason. Think Ferguson thinks he can breed him into a midfielder.

The Mask 07-15-2004 02:27 PM

I bet he will. If we have Smith on the wing and Forlan up front anytime this season, someone is going to die.

Rob 07-15-2004 02:33 PM

You see that goal Forlan scored the other night?

The Mask 07-15-2004 03:30 PM

Yeah he scored a beauty before we signed him as well. I'm not expecting him to do that every week. I'm expecting him to miss open goals and be generally shit.

Dazz 07-15-2004 03:40 PM

I always said Forlan had it in him, the guy would be great at a team where he regulary plays, until this summmer I would have said somewhere like Boro

Dazz 07-15-2004 07:05 PM

Chalton have complained about Chelsea because they say that when Carlton Cole rejected a loan move to them Chelsea assured them that Cole wouldn't join anyone on loan and now he has joined Villa on loan.

LK 07-15-2004 07:32 PM

Smith will definetly not be a striker. There is no way that he will get ahead of Ruud and Saha. I think Fergie wants to make him the next Keane.

Oxstar 07-16-2004 01:14 PM

Charlton would be a good club for Forlan to go to or Crystal Palace:D But if he stays at Man U he wont get much first team football.

Rob 07-16-2004 06:58 PM

Forlan is better than Palace and Charlton

Yeah he probably is but at least he would get to play every week in the first team, I would rather be in the Charlton or Palace first team than been on the Man u bench.

Wengerland 07-17-2004 05:39 PM

Kezman scored on his Chelsea debut.

Oxstar 07-17-2004 05:42 PM

Hey Wee Gonner

Arsenal 10 Barnet 1

Yeah, good pass from Gudjohnsen but Kezman took the goal well, he had plenty of shots and really impressed me, it's also good to see how easy Gudjohnsen and Kezman linked up. Yes I realise it was only against Oxford, but the passing between the two of them (mainly from Gudjohnsen to Kezman) was really good to see. Joe Cole also found it easy to pick out Kezman, his off the ball runs were good and if he plays like that all season against better teams, he will soon be the man.

Dazz 07-17-2004 06:06 PM

The game finished 1-1 but in all fairness to Chelsea, we didn't have Lampard. Also we played some youngsters who no one (me included) has heard of and it was one of them (Stephen Watt) who messed up for the goal. Geremi proved that he can't even perform well against teams like Oxford :|.

Wengerland 07-17-2004 07:41 PM

Only a friendly after all, we lost 2-1 at Barnsley but that was missing about 5 or 6 first choice players.

Reyes and Jeffers got hat-tricks for Arsenal and *i think* a debut goal for Robin van Persie, which was meant to be really good, not seen it yet myself.

I'm fairly sure it was Huth who screwed up for the goal, but I could be very wrong

Yeah I thought it was Huth when I saw it, but it wasn't, the guy had longer hair.

Dazz 07-17-2004 08:09 PM

Anyone else watching the Peru Vs Argentina match? Kicked off 3 minutes ago on Sky Sports one, Argentina are favourites to win the tournament

Mr. Monday Morning 07-17-2004 08:20 PM

We beat Tromso 3-2

Dazz 07-17-2004 08:22 PM

We beat Tromso 7-1 back in the day. We lost 3-2 away though

Mr. Monday Morning 07-17-2004 09:39 PM

And now you can't even beat Oxford :nono: What went wrong down at the Bridge :nono:

Mr. Monday Morning 07-17-2004 09:40 PM

Fucking great free kick from Tevez btw

Dazz 07-17-2004 10:11 PM

I was just about to say that, one of the best free kicks I have ever seen, everyone has to watch that goal, Fabiano's Vs Paragauy and Peru's against Bolivia (I think it was them, the game ended 2-2), and one of Bolivia's against Peru, all outstanding goals. The positioning from Tevez couldn't have been any better. Shame he never does anything that good for Boca Juniors, he was linked with United last year, but they have enough attackers now.

What I found interesting is that the Boca Juniors keeper was in goal for Argentina, and when River Plate and Boca Juniors played in the Copa Libertadores last month there was a ruck and the Boca Keeper had scratches on his face after it, dunno if anyone in the Argentinian squad was responsible for it.

Lost £3 though  I bet £2 on Peru to win, 50p each on 2-1 and 2-0 to Argentina. Solano's free kick was also fucking good, two inches lower and it would have been a beauty.

Oxstar 07-18-2004 10:26 AM

Argentinian football is too dangerous, Crystal Palace beat some Northern Irish team called Glentoran 5-0 Andy Johnson hat trick and Tommy Black with 2 goals, but it don't really count for much:D

Dazz 07-18-2004 04:18 PM

Fulham have signed Andy Cole

Drogba is expected to sign for Chelsea this week. I hope he does, he is the player I am most looking forward to seeing next year.

Oxstar 07-18-2004 04:26 PM

Souness just didn't like Yorke or Cole. If he just played them together more and hope he didn't have so many injuries Blackburn would have done better. Great signing for Fulham as long as Coleman remembers to play him.

Dazz 07-18-2004 04:42 PM

Souness didn't bring Yorke on a tour of Germany and said he is his sixth choice attacker. LOL.

Skeletor2 07-18-2004 06:31 PM

Newcastle actually won a penalty shootut today :). Flawless penalties apparently.

Yeah saw it again, it was the other guy.

Gotta love Huth purely for the free kicks

Dazz 07-18-2004 06:50 PM

And for stamping on Shearer's nuts.

You kidding me right? Souness was the only guy who was willing to give them a second chance. The problem is Yorke. At Man United, he got on Ferguson's bad side and burnt a bridge and his little boyfriend Cole cried too like a little bitch. Souness thought he got a good deal on Yorke when United would have given him away for free at that point. He has no heart what so ever. He never had one good game the entire time at Blackburn. He only ever performed in one big game for Man United too. We would have never had won the treble without them but they aren't big game players. £60,000 a week for those two pieces of sh</>it? No wonder they didn't want to leave. If I was making that money and was a treble winner, I'd be damn embarrassed if a player from the 3rd division came into the team and outplayed me.

Cole will probably be sh</>it at Fulham but maybe he can do something when he isn't hanging around his boy toy pal.

The only mistake Souness made after signing them was NOT breaking their legs in training. They are a pair of cry baby bitches and the quikcer their careers are over, the better for everyone.

Dazz 07-18-2004 07:37 PM

I always say toy boy, and not boy toy. I thought it was worth pointing that out.

Dazz 07-18-2004 07:57 PM

WOOOOOO this week has been good, i stuck a fiver in my bet365.com account, bet £2 on paragauy winning against Brazil and won £10, then I stuck a fiver each way on Phil Mickelson to win the golf and I won £12.25, lost £3 last night on the Peru Vs the Argies game, but stuck £2.50 on Uruaguy to win and will win a fiver.

Overall I am nearly £30 up within the last week

I don't know if this will accomplish anything but there's a petition to change the Football League names back.

Wengerland 07-19-2004 06:59 AM

Brazil won 4-0 against Mexico. Anyone know the semi final draw?

Skeletor2 07-19-2004 07:17 AM

Brazil - Uruguay
Argentina - Colombia

Wengerland 07-19-2004 07:24 AM

Cheers :y:

Brazil vs Argentina final looks most likely.
