toxic rooster 03-03-2005 08:00 PM

yeah fuck, getting my names confused. Hughes, murphy, same thing. Get off me, it's been a big week

Danny Electric 03-04-2005 01:25 AM

Prutton is a good player and he was at Forest.

Wengerland 03-04-2005 05:31 AM

The 2006 FA Cup final will be staged a week early on 13 May to help England's World Cup preparations.

Sides in the Uefa Cup will not play FA Cup fifth round or quarter-final replays, and those in the Champions League will not replay quarter-finals.

Rob 03-04-2005 06:25 AM

They aren't gonna win it anyway so they might as well keep the season how it is. It will give Sven another excuse.

Yeah they were bad tackles. Not debating that. What I am debating is that he got two yellows for the tackles so that's a 1 game ban. That means he got 9 games for "pushing" the ref which I think is too harsh. Personally, I think what Jaap Stam and the rest did to the ref at Old Trafford a few years ago was worse.

Have to see how we go i suppose, i really believe Sven will leave anyway. One more week shouldn't make much of a difference, but may aswell give it a chance, it's not like these are huge changes anyway.

the referee (D'Urso?) shouldn't have backed off like he did, he should've stood his ground, told them to fuck off and booked them if they didn't. They only kept moving closer to him because he kept backing off, D'Urso should've taken control of the situation.

Prutton was pushing into the ref to try and get to the linesman after he had already been sent off. Its not really 9 games for the shove, its for the shove, the use of foul and abusive language and the failure to leave the pitch quickly after being sent off. Think of it like 2 matches for failing to leave the pitch, 2 for the language and 5 for shoving the official.

Rob 03-04-2005 05:46 PM

Akinbyi is a fucking idiot.

Mike the Metal Ed 03-05-2005 12:40 PM

Totally outclassing Forest today, and we're losing 1-0.

Mike the Metal Ed 03-05-2005 12:52 PM

And we've lost, unbeliveable as Kamara would say.

Wengerland 03-05-2005 12:58 PM

Succesive relegations for us.

Our forwards can't score, we can't win and the teams at the bottom are picking up points. I'm more certain Forest will pull out of it than we'll stay clear.

4 points off the bottom 3 is bad enough anyway.

Ogen 03-05-2005 01:32 PM

Luke Moore is fucking brilliant.

Danny Electric 03-05-2005 01:52 PM

I agree with Ogen.
The Villa youth academy is brilliant.

Mr. Monday Morning 03-05-2005 02:21 PM

4-1 ahhhhhhhhhhh

Blimey, Crewe must be woeful for us to tonk them :$

Still an outside chance we could sneak into the playoffs, but we've gotta go to Preston and play Ipswich among others, so I dunno :-\

Mr. Monday Morning 03-05-2005 02:48 PM

SUPER KEZMAN

Oxstar 03-05-2005 04:50 PM

Fucking great day out, really pleased I went, we outsung them, we ripped Delia, we won the league, and we created a great atmosphere, brilliant day.

how will that work then, what happens if man u play palace & it ends in a draw? (man u will prob be in europe, dont think palace will so used as example) does it get settled there and then i.e on penacks?

but what happens if say stoke and mk dons were to play each other in 5th round/ qtr final and that ended in a draw, would they go to a replay as they arnt involved in europe, if so how is that fair? :?:

Wengerland 03-06-2005 01:10 PM

Don't know the ins and outs, but Stoke and MK Dons would replay it in your example. The Palace/Man U game would be settled on the night with extra time/penalties.

It's probably because of what happened with the 4th round replays this season, because there were internationals on the wednesday they couldn't be played in midweek and so the games (West Ham vs Sheff Utd is the only one i can think of) was played at the weekend, and that meant them missing a league fixture. If they want to get the league finished a week earlier then i don't think the teams in Europe could get a replay in, or something like that.

Danny Electric 03-06-2005 01:54 PM

Come on blackburn.

Dazz 03-06-2005 02:27 PM

Yeah Wengerlands right, any team in Europe has enough fixtures as it is so it's settled on the night. Any team outside of Europ can play in midweek, obviously not when theres internationals but I guess the FA will not play the F.A cup ties around the times of internationals.

Y2Ant 03-06-2005 08:07 PM

I can't remember the last time we beat Liverpool

Mr. Monday Morning 03-06-2005 08:08 PM

The teams in Europe already get a bye into the 3rd round of the League Cup so I don't see it being that big of a deal

Mike the Metal Ed 03-06-2005 08:16 PM

UEFA Cup over FA Cup.

Glad to see our FA has it's priorities right again.

Dazz 03-06-2005 08:47 PM

England has to look good in Europe, like when the F.A let United not enter the F.A cup to represent England in the World Club Championships. The better we do in Europe the more places we get and the better reputation we get in Europe.

It's funny really. He took the elbow smash, turned around, took a headbutt the the bridge of his nose and then was choked and he STILL didn't go down :D My kind of player!

Where's Akinbyi's 10 game ban? He was far worse than David Prutton but I guess it's more acceptable to assault another player (because there wasn't a single attempt at a tackle) than it is to nudge a ref.

Rob 03-07-2005 01:56 PM

FA Cup is a friggin' joke. Between the teams still in the Champions League, there are only about 8 or 9 England regulars. Helps every other country with players in those teams just as much. Erikkson is such a tool. I hope he gets a club job in Spain or Italy next season just so I don't see his mug on TV or in the papers every week.

thats kinda the point i was trying to get to, most of our top teams are filled with people from abroad so why move the FA cup final, it'll only aid and rest the other countries players aswell so we wont be getting any real advantage.

i always like watching the cup final as it was the climax to a season!

out of cuorisity when does the spanish season finish as owen, beckham and erm woodgate (yeh world cups over a year away so he has an outside chance of being fit) must be key players for us (well owen at least)

Cactus Sid 03-08-2005 10:30 AM

If any of you get a chance to see Thierry Henry's press conference today, you have to. The guy is an absolute legend and is funny as fuck.

The Mask 03-08-2005 12:54 PM

press conference for what? elaborate you twat

Cactus Sid 03-08-2005 01:15 PM

It was for the Bayern game. He was just answering questions and being the man.

Loose Cannon 03-08-2005 03:59 PM

Barcelona vs Chelsea on ESPN 2 right now. Champions League game :D

Loose Cannon 03-08-2005 04:00 PM

Frank "Super" Lampard just scored :y:

Cactus Sid 03-08-2005 04:05 PM

Holy shit.....Chelsea 3 Barcelona 0

Cactus Sid 03-08-2005 04:11 PM

Hmm, interesting, Silvestre keeps his arms down, ball hits arm....nothing.

Paulo Ferreira jumps up to head the ball, ball hits hand....penalty, yellow card, 3-1.

Giggs just hit post, should've squared it, Ronaldo was clear.
