One of the most recent back issues of the Observer on F4WOnline.com is the one dated July 1, 1996, looking at King of the Ring 1996. Of course we all remember it as what helped kick start Austin's ascension to superstardom.

Of course no one had any clue that's what was going to happen when he gave the speech. Has any legendary moment in wrestling history the past 30 years has been downplayed so much by Dave Meltzer?

7. Austin beat Roberts in 4:28 to win King of the Ring. The storyline was that Roberts was working on badly injured ribs. Ironically it was Austin who was hurt legit as he needed 15 or 16 stitches in the tongue and mouth (done backstage at the building, not in the hospital as was said on television).
