He was "too expensive" for the last year of his deal so they shipped him to Colorado where, in the last year of that deal, he had a career year and was worth 3.4 WAR. That's a 21.4 mil value for a guy who was paid 8 mil.
He was exactly what he was supposed to be. Sometimes he was good, sometimes he was bad, but he took the hill every fifth day. Never put on the DL during that time. That's an ideal backend of the rotation starter.

I can't believe you have such a hard on for someone who got paid $11 million dollars by the Cubs to be completely and totally average at his job. And whatever he did in Colorado has no bearing on my opinion of him.
