100% agree with this. And the style everyone else practices can help you stand out by doing something different, but it can also make your attempts to be taken seriously seem even more silly than the sillier stuff.
I wish more people would try with a prominent platform. I think we’re past the stage where we need to overtly smack people over the head with the idea that
we know it’s fake. True ironic post-modern zombie wrestling would be to usher in a new kayfabe with audiences going along with it.
