Honestly, even a guy like Wardlow being in AEW helps WWE because AEW has no clue what to do with him. It makes them look like clowns. There’s definitely benefits to signing him and using him better, but it doesn’t hurt if AEW keeps tripping over their own shoelaces.
Take the hot talent that actually somewhat find a way to get used half-way correctly there. MJF overcomes his bad booking and Jade has been booked pretty solidly for her experience level. I’m even iffy on Britt Baker, because she’s also kind of lost in limbo there. But you take her and they’ve got such a horrid women’s div. Good luck appealing to networks in these times without having a cast of women. That division isn’t going anywhere, so you do your best to make sure it sucks.
