I really can't see how Saraya's return match is going to be anything but underwhelming.
She was good, to a given value of "good", when expectations were much lower and women's wrestling on TV wasn't treated as anything more than a piss break.
She's apparently admitted to not watching AEW, and parts of her promo at Britt seemed to basically say that she's never achieved anything and isn't good enough to carry a division, which is akin to CM Punk at the All Out press conference burying Hangman Page (and AEW by association) by saying that a former world champion had "never done anything in this business".
That, to me, tells me that she's going to walk in and be, at best, the level she was at when she retired, and expect plaudits and praise only to be frustrated when she doesn't get it. I don't think she realized that mainstream women's wrestling in the US has moved on leaps and bounds she was last in the ring, and that expectations are higher.
She can't afford to be as good as she actually was, she has to be as good as people remember her being.
