I still need to rewatch the first season before tackling the new one. All I can remember of season one was that Common had a tendency to spoil any scene that he was in. He was serviceable enough in Hell on Wheels, but he's out of place in this show.

Common is a fine actor, he is much less distracting than Ferguson in terms of fitting in. I’m not sure how she got the gig, but she isn’t very good at acting.
I think the funniest piece of bad casting is the old mechanic woman who played one of Logan Roy’s ex wives in “Succession”.
